My secondary school life has been wonderful. I have improved my skills in various fields understood a lot of personal affairs and expanded my participation in a variety of extracurricular activities. It brought me many memories and experiences as well as widened my scope of knowledge.

When I was in form 3, I was interested in computers and wanted to know more about computer knowledge. I chose Information & Communication Technology as one of my electives. After being promoted to form 4, I was recommended to join the Audio Visual Support Team by the teacher . It brought a brand new life to my school life.

At the beginning of this extracurricular activity, I was a novice and I was responsible for the audio equipment. In various important activities, I had to adjust the volume of the microphone and mute it at the critical time to avoid disturbance. I enjoyed the pressures faced with my partner and became very careful to avoid accidents. I still remember that on the school’s open day, my partner told me that she was tied up. I felt helpless under pressure. If it was in the past, I might give up and escape, but I didn’t, I understood the importance of my job. Therefore, I chose to face the problem and finally the open day was held successfully. I learnt how to face adversity and improve on the spot.

In my senior school life, my interest in computer knowledge has increased. The teacher also recommended me and my classmates to participate in some competitions to broaden our horizons. In the competition, we needed to create a mobile software application together. Although we got no award,  I understood that I lacked computer knowledge, so I learned more about software production, and thus improved my computer knowledge.

Participating in extracurricular activities and competitions not only improved my ability to face in adversity, but also changed my attitude. I realised that in order to do my bit for society in the future, I need to further my studies in a university to broaden my scope of knowledge, especially in Computer Science or Engineering
